Yvette Moore, singer-songwriter born and raised in Hawai'i, was recently twice nominated for Best Female Vocalist at the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and is now a contender for several GRAMMY® Awards.
Formally trained in opera, multi jazz styles, and contemporary styles, Yvette has continuously used her vocal talents in many local shows and venues; performing songs from Hawaiian to pop or over 25 years. Her history of shows include abroad USO tours in Korea, Japan and domestically in California. While working for many years in Hawai'i, as an entertainer on the local cruise ships (such as the Star Of Honolulu), Yvette spent her free time in recording studios working on her original music, while also singing lead for local bands.
As a songwriter, she is responsible for writing more than half of her songs and even leads her own background arrangements. Her debut album "Burning In My Heart" (which features many great local musicians such as Kirk Thompson as a producer) was released internationally in 2017, and can be found on every major music site from iTunes to Spotify. Her dynamic range and versatility is well heard in this multi-genre album. Her latest album "YM" is a fine blend of original pop songs to local island favorites. She recently released three music videos (on YouTube) to promote her songs, and is about to launch her 4th. Her relentless smile and personality will most definitely keep you wanting more.
